DMC Cinque Terre
A mosaic of colorful villages and stunning landscapes
A UNESCO heritage since 1997, Cinque Terre is a string of five fishing villages perched high on the Italian Riviera in the region Liguria, with a landscape unique in the world, shaped by the famous dry stone walls: Riomaggiore, Vernazza, Monterosso, Manarola and Corniglia. Originally, these little towns were isolated medieval hamlets connected only by walking trails which today are stunning sinuous paths offering breathtaking views over the turquoise sea, terraced cliffs of olive groves, vine trees, and lemon trees.
With Italian Riviera we also refer to the small coastal villages of Santa Margherita, Portofino and Portovenere, also known as The Gulf of the Poets which seem to belong to an impressionist painting.
Dive from Riomaggiore into the underwater caves of the protected marine area, have a pic-nic at Manarola vineyards, sail from Portofino to San Fruttuoso for a private reception.
